A picture has appeared on Facebook of a late model Chief with a busted headstem casting, apparently not crashed as you can see the screen etc is intact. At this point I would suggest those who have these models please closely inspect for any betraying problem hairline cracks. Please note as this picture has little written about the machine in question this may have fatigue due to a previously serious impact (as a Four pictured below) which may have caused this fatigue. I am sure the manufacturer will issue recalls if it is a problem.

Hi there,I was directed to your organisation through the AOMC.  I am trying to track down an Indian Motorcycle with side car that belonged to a local resident many years ago.  I have attached a photo (isn’t it a beauty?) from around 1930-40.    I realise this is very much a long shot – but would you be able to help or give me any ideas?  We have written up a piece on John Brumby (pictured) for our archives and would love to know where the bike ended up after being sold (around 1980-90’s).
We have a Facebook page where this has been posted if there is any chance of you sharing it with your members who may know something.

Your committee recognises the hardship the Corona virus has placed on some of our members and have reacted immediately we only expect one thing now please pay your subs quickly and remember red plate members who hav’nt renewed by 1st July have a unregistered vehicle and the current fine is 3 demerit points and $1,600 fine.

Well last weeks ride to Daylesford was a huge success with a few VRV (Vincent Riders Victoria) joining us Pete Kime has written a good report above on the event. With Stage 2 restrictions on at 31/5/20 we can have up to 20 staying overnight at a venue theoretically we will be organising our Crazy Horse Rally either late Sept or early October keep your eye on the calendar. So what does the Latin mean above, its our new association logo that translates to “Never pass a fuel stop”
